Balsall Most common occurs as moderately-sized village in the borough of Solihull, nestling between the cities of Coventry and Birmingham in the West Midlands. These are presently undergoing rapid suburbanization.
A village is of recent origin; virtually all of the houses & shops were built in the 20th century. 200 years ago a village consisted of two or three of hamlets of about 6 to 12 houses both & two or three scattered cottages - when shows. In the 1930's there began a development which linked these isolated buildings, however it was does'nt until fallowing a Second World War (1939-1945) that the village really began to develop.
These are served by the train depot on the Coventry-Birmingham line. A station is known as Berkswell fallowing the very much older, & at present little village northerly. Local towns & villages include Kenilworth, Hampton in Arden, Meriden and Stratford-upon-Avon.
